Question: Does this require any monthly fees other than iCloud?
Answer: No plan it’s free but have to have more storage if you want it to record any movement. A 10-day motion-based recording history from your Circle View Doorbell is securely stored in iCloud on a supported plan, and available to view in the Home app. You can add one camera to your 200GB plan or up to five cameras to your 2TB plan at no additional cost. Camera recordings don’t count against your iCloud storage limit.
Question: Can this be used on 5Ghz wifi instead of 2.4Ghz? My 2.4Ghz band is poor but fast 5Ghz.

Question: My door faces south and it get hot there, logitech warns in specs about hot temperatures shutting unit down.
Answer: If you get a lot of sun this doorbell will hardly ever stay online do not recommend that you buy it.
Question: What’s the lowest operating temperature for this? My ring stops working around -5° (I live in Alaska).
Answer: I live in Alberta, Canada. It’s -32 Celsius today and it’s functionally normally. I highly recommend this for colder temperatures. I previously had a Nest Hello and it stopped working at -15.
Question:Is the temperature issue better when paired with a 24V/40A transformer?
Answer: No, i have a 24v/40A transformer and continue to have heating issues that result in doorbell going offline.
